Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American journalist. She is employed by ESPN and is the SportsCenter anchor for news. Her first job at ESPN in 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual since nine years old a useful skill that helped her secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer at Univision in Miami and gave her the chance to be a part of the production team for National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was employed by the CBS station as the sports reporter. In 2009 she relocated away from Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She was also frequently asked to serve as a weather and sports anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given more responsibility. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She has been promoted to sports anchor on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in the same job on Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The family moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. There is an older sister. There is an older sibling. The couple divorced shortly after and in 1995 her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. The summer of 2006, she took a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta was a senior high school student and had a very clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. It was a beautiful campus and provided the education she was looking for. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the University. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was member of the class, established a lasting relationship with her. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
